Paige 23
Let Yourself Fall
Indie
http://www.paige23.com
Paige 23 out of New York city is one of my favorite bands, they are a great combination of songwriters and musicians. The main reason why Paige 23 impresses me the most is the ability they posses with song writing. Paige 23 always seems to surprise me with one great song after another. Paige 23 should have a major record deal, not that they really need one because they have produced their own debut album, "Let yourself Fall" that is doing very well at the merchandise table. This group does not let up and the songs tell me something. Paige 23 is going to break big time. It is not a question of if but when. There should be some major label that should climb aboard this rising star. Listen to " Love you Anyway" and you will understand what I am talking about in regard to the potential of Paige 23. I recently spoke with Carmine Appice and Dave Mason and they both were equally impressed. You will be impressed as well.

George Harrison
Brainwashed
Capitol
http://www.georgeharrison.com
Brainwashed is George Harrison's way of telling us that he is doing okay and he was comfortable with how he lived. George has always been my favorite Beatle because of his ability to present spirituality in a non-threatening way. Brainwashed is George's final mortal prayer that transcends our physical world and reaches out to the Heavens. I get the feeling that George is with God right now listening as the songs are played. Brainwashed is a collection of 12 great songs well produced by Jeff Lynne and Dhani Harrison. The look and feel of the CD is magnificent to say the least. This CD is necessary for the George Harrison Fan. My favorite tracks on Brainwashed are "P2 Vatican Blues (Last Saturday Night)", "Rocking chair in Hawaii", and "Stuck Inside a Cloud". You will find favorite Classics as well.

Bad Company

Sanctuary

Bad Company “Merchants of Cool” is a hot DVD. This DVD is electric and puts a smile on your face as soon as you see it. It is great to see Paul Rodgers with Simon Kirke together with the rest of Bad Company on stage once again. Paul has a great voice and Simon has not lost a beat. The video is crisp, and the shots put you on stage. You will rock out, or should I say Rock Steady to “Merchants of Cool.” (Same goes for the CD.) The DVD includes: backstage footage (for that all access feel), photo gallery, band and celebrity interviews, and other surprises. Bad Company sounds great live and you get to see it for yourself with “Merchants of Cool.” I love it, you will too.

Audioslave
audioslave
Epic
http://www.audioslavemusic.com
I love this super-group! The chemistry of former Soundgarden Front Man Chris Cornell and Members of Rage Against the Machine is definitely a powerful rock combination. I hope Audioslave can keep it together for a while; they really have something special here that I have not heard in a long time. You should check out the Audioslave web site for more information on the Tour. I have to get my ticket. The lead track "Cochise" about the Indian Chief is full of emotion captured by the Chris Cornell's distinctive vocals, the crunchy guitar of Tom Morello, the intricate Bass play of Tim Commerford, and pounding Drums of Brad Wilk. Rick Rubin and Rich Costy add the final ingredients for a Rock Smash!

Avril Lavigne
let go
Arista
http://www.avrilmerch.com
Avril Lavigne is a certified Rock Star! “Let Go” is a fun album to listen to while driving in New York Traffic. You need something to tap your foot and sing along with, “Let Go” will put you into a good mood. I was surprised how Avril was able to relate to me with her music. I am telling you that if you listen to this with the kids you will be a cool Dad or Mom. I almost went out and bought a skateboard but then realized that I don’t like going to the chiropractor. Anyway, the album had me rockin, and that is what matters to me the most. Avril is a talented musician, songwriter, and singer. I am looking forward to many more albums in the future.

Pretenders

Did you know about the new Pretenders Album "Loose Screw"? Well now you know. The Pretenders are back with another Hot CD. Chrissie sounds great and her band mates do not disappoint me. I sat with Chrissie not to long ago and spoke of many things including the new Pretenders album "Loose Screw.” "Lie to Me" is the first track and has a "Mr. Soul" feel to it. "Complex Person" the first release is pure gold. There are not too many CD's you can buy in which you play every track without skipping. You won't find "Loose Screw" boring at all.

Clarence Clemons-Temple of Soul
live in asbury park
Valley Entertainment
http://www.clarenceclemons.com
Clarence Clemons has a new album out that really deserves more attention. Clarence has recorded some gems with his new group Temple of Soul during a show at the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park. “Live in Asbury Park” is one of the best Live Albums ever recorded. I usually do not go for the live stuff as a rule, but Clarence changed my mind with this release. Clarence with Temple of Soul did the reverse order for making albums. They did it live before doing a studio version! (I found that very interesting.) Clarence assembled some remarkable talent to augment his sax play while in Florida, where he now resides when not on tour. The question is where can you buy the CD. The best place is to go to www.clarenceclemmons.com to find out more information. If you are looking for something that will give you a thrill that is not the same old, same old, get Temple of Soul “ Live in Asbury Park.” You can also sample some of the songs on the site as well.
